Ornate buildings
Shruthi Geographic is back!
This ornate building is from Paris. The city is full of such buildings! It's definitely one of the most expensive cities we had been to on our honeymoon.

Photo Friday: Glow
This one's from our Pune trip again. More precisely, this is Melissa's place in Kamshet, where we stayed a couple of days.
At about midnight, when the other guests were still awake talking about paragliding and the weather in general, we decided to take a stroll. And this is what we saw as soon as we came out of our cabin.

Stopover
Previously, I worked in Hyderabad for a few months. Whenever I went to Hyderabad from Bangalore (which would almost always be every weekend), I took a Volvo bus. And the bus invariably stopped at this hotel.
This hotel brings back a lot of fond memories (especially the phone booth there) :)

BMSCE Mountaineering Club
We had a mountaineering club at my college, BMS College of Engineering. They frequently went on excursions (check out their website for stories!).
No, I wasn't a member of the club ;)

Locked
We had been to this village near Mantralayam. Some of the houses (like this one) were locked. Maybe the owners had moved to the city in search of fortune.
I can almost imagine living in a place like this with no electricity, very little drinking water and no amenities.

Looking out the window
It looked like an apartment complex, but I did not have the time to go and ask them. Had to rush off <:o)

Tallest in Bangalore
That's the tallest building in Bangalore. The thing I really hate? You can never get a decent picture in Bangalore without the electric or telephone wires coming in the way!
Oh, and I am planning to start a miniblog dedicated to Bangalore. Sometime soon, promise!

St. Philomena's Church
St. Philomena's Church in Mysore. This is one of the largest churches in India.

Golden Temple
The famed Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery) in Kushalnagar. More information about the place can be found here. There was too much Sun in the background, hence the bright patch on the right side. I need to learn Photoshop soon :~)
